Founded in Croydon, Melbourne in 1971, Croydon Travel has evolved from a local travel agency into a respected Australian tour operator serving clients throughout Australia and internationally.
Established by Phil Asker and his father, the business operated from its original Croydon location for almost 50 years before moving to its current Croydon office in 2022, where clients are welcomed by appointment.
Our first international tour departed for Fiji in 1971, marking the beginning of a long history of travel innovation. Since then, Croydon Travel has earned a reputation for creating luxury tours, charter flights, private rail journeys, and exceptional cruise experiences. We are proud to have created the iconic travel brands Captain’s Choice Tours and Antarctica Sightseeing Flights.
Our achievements have been recognised with multiple industry awards, including Best Metro Travel Agency (1995 and 1998), the AFTA Perpetual Trophy for Services to the Travel Industry (1999/2000), and Best Maroondah Business (2002).
We have also delivered conference and incentive travel programs for leading organisations including KFC Australia, McDonald’s, Kenworth, and Thirsty Camel, while supporting charities such as Clean Up Australia, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Camp Quality, Make-A-Wish and Ronald McDonald House.
